Ask to change your name or web address
The Web address card explained a change and had no way to ask. The company owner can request a new business name or web address. FieldLink reviews the request before the name or address changes, and an old address still forwards for 60 days.
A receipt opens over the list
Opening a receipt left the list for a full page, and the photo sat in a tall black frame. A receipt now opens in a window over the list. The photo box matches the picture, and closing the window returns to the same place in the list.

The receipt scan opens with the photo
After a receipt or pump photo, the screen sat on the camera while the phone looked up its location and sent the picture. The scan now opens with the photo and one bar. Location is read while the photo is prepared and sent, and the form stays hidden until the scan finishes.
A saved pump reading fills the draft
A finished pump photo left the draft with no store and no total when the scan screen stopped. The station, the total, the gallons, the price and the grade now stay on the draft. The list shows them the next time you open receipts.
Delete stays on the open receipt
A trash icon on each receipt row could delete a draft before you opened it. Delete is now the Delete receipt button on the open receipt. Submit, Save for later and Delete receipt each lead with an icon.
The pump sale shows without the map
A gas pump photo waited on the map for the station city, so the sale never appeared. The sale, gallons, grade and price now show as soon as FieldLink AI answers. The city fills in afterwards, or you type it when the map is slow.
A pump photo finishes the scan
A gas pump photo left the scan bar short of full after FieldLink AI had answered, so the sale never showed. The bar now fills to the end and the numbers show. Submit, Save and Delete stay hidden until the scan finishes, and a failed read brings them back with Retry.
The scan bar fills once
The receipt scan bar used to race to the end for every line in the log. One bar now fills a single time while the photo is prepared, read by FieldLink AI, and the form is filled in, and it stops if the read fails.
Job sites fills a blank city
A job with a pin and a blank city or state gets those filled in. A city or state you type stays. The toolbar ends at the table, and the map sits beside the jobs at a set height.
Add a person to QuickBooks
Someone added in FieldLink stayed off the QuickBooks employee list until the office typed them in by hand. An owner or an admin can add them from Employees. QuickBooks gets their name, email and phone. Pay rate, tax forms and direct deposit are still finished in QuickBooks.
Full numbers need an authenticator
Opening a full Social Security number now needs a code from an authenticator app in the last 5 minutes. People with HR access see asterisks until the owner grants See full Social Security numbers. An employee opens their own file with their account password, and the upload screen says not to file a Social Security card.
Save for later stays up during a scan
Save for later used to hide until a receipt photo finished reading. A tap during the read now keeps whatever is already filled in, and the read still finishes.
Delete a draft or a receipt sent back
A draft, including one saved for later, and a receipt the office sent back can be deleted from the list or the open form. The photo goes with it. A receipt waiting for approval, one already approved, or one in the books stays.
Job sites puts the jobs first
The map used to fill the page and the jobs sat in a narrow strip. Job sites now lists every job in a wide table, with the map in a smaller panel. A blank job number, contractor, city or state shows a dash.
Receipt scans show each step
While a receipt photo is read, Save for later stays off the screen. A bar creeps through each step and a log under it names what is happening, then the form and Save for later appear together.
Delete a customer moves them to Archived
Delete on Customers now moves that customer to Archived customers. Jobs, service calls and receipts stay on file, and portal sign-in waits until a restore.

A library photo keeps its location
A pump photo from the phone's library kept the date but lost where it was taken, so the station stayed blank. FieldLink now reads the location saved in the photo, and uses this phone when you take the picture. A photo with no location keeps the brand.
A slow map still names the station
Looking up the station often timed out and left the name blank. FieldLink now asks more than one public map, and if none answers it uses the brand from the pump photo.
Scan receipt reads a pump photo
A photo of the pump taken with Scan receipt used to show an error and leave the total blank. The scan now fills the sale, the gallons and the date, and names the station from the location when the photo has one.
Station names fill in from the map
A pump photo with a location now fills in the station name and address from public map data. No extra service to turn on. If the map does not answer, the brand from the pump is used.
A photo of the pump becomes a fuel receipt
When a pump does not print a receipt, photograph the display or choose a photo of it. FieldLink reads the sale and the gallons, names the grade and the station, splits out the fuel tax where the rates are known, and files it for approval like any other receipt.
Add your own access levels
An owner or an admin can add an access level such as Estimator or Dispatcher, built on Technician, Office or Admin, and choose what that level can open. A level built on Technician still never sees a job's money or a coworker's pay rate.
Role names you do not use switch off
The role names FieldLink fills in, like Apprentice and Foreman, could be taken off your list for good. Now they switch off and back on, stay on the Roles page, and are not offered while they are off. A name you added yourself is still removed the old way, and the button beside a name is a small pencil.

Press the ? at the top of any page in the app - every section, and every page for one record, like a service call, a receipt, a daily log or Account settings - to read how to use that page, step by step, with only the parts that apply to you. The account menu opens the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy now.

The product page, What's New and the legal pages now open at once on any phone or computer, with a cleaner look and every module and price where it was. The app itself starts when you press Sign in or Free trial.
Overtime and shift changes start with the next pay week
A change that can pay less, like turning off daily overtime, a new start of the day for a shift, or somebody becoming salaried, now starts with the next pay week instead of a week after it. The Overtime and Shifts settings read in plain sentences, with one button to change overtime.

Live Photos from an iPhone stay live
With Reduce photo size off, a Live Photo picked from an iPhone's photos in the FieldLink app keeps its short video and sound, on daily logs, service calls, tools and a job's File Vault. The ID carries a LIVE badge, and plays when you point at it in the office web app or press and hold it on a phone.
See each file fill its bar as it uploads
Adding files to the File Vault now shows each one being prepared, then a bar and how much has gone, like Sending 8.2 of 17 MB, then Saving and Added. Adding several at once shows how many are in, so a big PDF on a slow signal never looks stuck.
A separate set rate for the drive there and the drive home
When a job, service call or single day pays both drives at a set rate, each drive now has its own hourly rate, typed right under its choice. Payroll, QuickBooks and job costing pay each drive at its own rate, and your crew never sees a dollar amount.

See your links typed into a browser
Company settings, Web address now shows each of your links being typed into a small browser bar, so it is clear what your crew and customers type to reach you. FieldLink is only a picture: use Copy or Open to share or visit the link.
Pay the drive to a job and the drive home separately
Every job, service call or single day now has its own choice for the drive from home and for the drive back: not paid, paid at the person's hourly rate toward overtime, or paid at a set rate that doesn't count toward it. Phones offer each drive only when it is paid, and payroll, QuickBooks and job costing follow each one.
Delete a removed document for good
A document taken out of an employee file or Company files can now be deleted permanently from Removed files, after a warning that names it. The owner and HR do it for employee files, and the office for company files. Once deleted it cannot be brought back.

Pay any holiday up to quadruple time
Every holiday has its own pay rate, from the normal hourly rate up to quadruple time, including the usual six before you switch them on. Your own holidays stand out in color and can be switched off without deleting them.
Company files and a file for each employee
Two folders now sit at the top of the File Vault: Company files for the employee manual and the policies everybody reads, and one file per employee for warnings, bonus letters and certificates that only the owner and HR manage. Every employee opens their own with the last four digits of their Social Security number, which is stored encrypted and shown as asterisks.

Keep photos full size, or keep their details
Daily log, job and receipt photos can now be kept at the size the camera took them, and with their hidden details, like where they were taken. None of that happens until you choose it under Company settings, Photos and GPS, and your crew is told in FieldLink when photos start keeping their details.
The calculator works a sum in order, or left to right
The trade calculator now works times and divide before plus and minus, the way a scientific calculator does, or left to right like a basic handheld if you pick that in its settings. What you type stays as you typed it until the sum is worked, and a help page explains every key.

Glossy buttons along the bottom of the phone app
The buttons along the bottom of the phone app are glossy now, like the calculator's keys, and push in when you press them, with the page you are on in orange. Holding one to move it takes two seconds instead of three.
Pay the drive from home at a set rate
Pay a long drive to a job at an hourly rate you set, separate from the person's own rate, and it never counts toward overtime. Your crew never sees the rate.
A calculator that looks the part
The trade calculator's keys are glossy buttons that push in when you press them, with big plus, minus and equals signs. The number reads from the left, right beside a real Clear button.
Ask "Were you hurt?" and "Is your time right?" separately
The two end-of-day questions now has its own switch in Company settings, so you can keep the injury check and turn off the time check, or the other way around.
Move your own buttons on your phone
Hold a button along the bottom of the phone app for two seconds, then drag it where you want it. The office sees your order on the Button layout page.
An archive for daily logs and daily reports
Owners, admins and the office can delete any daily log or daily report, and it waits in the Archive until you restore it or delete it permanently. Nothing is lost by accident.
Your own role names
Call your people what you call them: Apprentice, Journeyman, Foreman, Estimator, or any name you add. Every role comes with the access it needs, and your trade's usual names are already on the list.
Turn Live map on for a whole role
On the Button layout page, Live map now has a switch for each role. Live tracking starts off. Turn it on and everyone in that role gets Live map, including anyone who joins the role later.
Owners pick the buttons on their own phone
The owner can switch buttons off their own phone's bar. Owners still have every part of FieldLink, and only the owner can change these.
Set overtime your way
Owners and admins choose when overtime starts under Company settings, Hours and overtime: after 40 hours a week or fewer, after a set number of hours in a day, with double time and California's seventh day if you need them. Salaried office staff and superintendents can be marked with no overtime. Double time can start at any hour you pick, like 10 hours in a day.
First, second and third shifts
Set up your own shifts and put your crew on them. Every person's shift decides which day their late hours belong to, so a night shift past midnight is paid, logged and warned about as the day it started.
Company holidays
Switch on any of the six usual holidays, and each one comes back every year. Add days of your own, and choose whether work on each is paid at the normal hourly rate or anywhere from time and a half to quadruple time. The hours are marked on Timesheets and in the payroll files.
Short breaks are paid
A lunch under 20 minutes now stays on the hours, as the law says, and nobody can type a shorter break onto a punch. Owners can switch on a reminder for people working a long stretch without lunch.
Pay the drive from home on the jobs that need it
Every job or service call says whether the drive from home and back is paid: not at all, at the person's hourly rate counted toward overtime, or at a set hourly rate you choose that never counts toward overtime. When it is paid, the phone offers Driving from home and Drive home. Driving between jobs always counts as work.
Live map starts off for everyone but the owner
An owner or admin turns it on one person at a time, on their Button layout or employee card. The phone on Button layout now shows exactly what that person's phone has, and you drag its buttons to arrange them.
A tip on a receipt has its own box
When someone leaves a tip, the scan reads it from the receipt and puts it in the new Tip box beside the tax. The office sees it on the list and in the spreadsheet, and it goes to QuickBooks as its own line.
Choose the day your pay week starts
Owners, admins and the office pick it in Company settings, under Payroll and costs. The week you're in never changes, and FieldLink makes sure nobody loses overtime in the switch.
Overnight shifts get one daily log
When a crew works past midnight, FieldLink files the daily log under the day the shift started, so nobody is asked for a second log or shown a missing day for the same shift.

Folders and real file names in the File Vault
Make your own folders on a job, such as Prints, Submittals or Install manuals, and upload a whole set of PDFs at once or take a photo with your phone. Every file shows its real name, its size and who uploaded it, and the office sees who opened it last.
Show the crew one revision without opening the older ones
Showing a file to the crew opens that revision only. Older revisions you kept in the office, such as prints with pricing on them, stay there.
The File Vault on a phone: Back takes you up a folder
On a phone, Back now goes up one folder at a time and then to your list of jobs. Every file shows its type, its size and who uploaded it. The dates it was uploaded and last opened are shown in full.
Job Sites and the Live Map open as a card you can make bigger
The two maps now open as a card with the job list beside it and every job in view, and Job Sites gets the Street, Terrain and Satellite views. Click Make the map bigger to fill the page. Back to normal size or the Escape key puts it back.
Your daily logs on a calendar
The Daily Log button on the phone now opens a calendar of your own days: green for a log filed, red for a day you clocked in and filed nothing, and orange for today's log still to do. Tap a day to see what you filed, with its photos, or to file the one you missed for that job.
Drag buttons into place on the phone preview
On Button layout, drag a button on the phone picture and drop it where you want it. The other buttons move over and resize to fit their row, and the list beside it follows.
Terrain and satellite views on the live map
The live map now sits in its own card beside the list, with a bar to zoom in and out, fit everyone on the map and switch between Street, Terrain and Satellite. Terrain shows contour lines and Satellite shows aerial photos, anywhere in the United States.
Sort employees and customers like a spreadsheet
Click any column heading on Employees or Customers to sort by it: names A to Z or Z to A, and numbers in number order. The sort stays when you refresh the page, and Set password and Send reset are now buttons beside each person.
Switch geofences off for your whole company
One switch in Company settings turns the geofence off for every job. While it is off, nobody is asked why they are away from a job and nothing is flagged, but where they clocked in is still recorded.
Clock in on a coworker's phone when you forget yours
Left your phone at home? Sign in on a coworker's phone and clock in as usual. The punch always goes through, and owners, admins and the office get one email that day saying who clocked in on whose phone, with the job and the time.
Choose who gets which emails, role by role
In Company settings, "Emails your employees get" now shows who is sent what, with a switch each for owners and admins, the office and the field crew. Every person can still change their own in Account settings.

Crop your logo without losing any of it
FieldLink keeps the whole picture you choose for your logo, and the crop only decides what shows on your reports and at the top of the app. Adjust it any time, or press Show the whole logo to get all of it back.

Light or dark in the office portal
Click the sun or moon next to the bell to switch the office portal to Light or Dark, or to System to follow your computer. Every browser remembers its own choice.
Ask your own questions at clock-out
Add up to eight questions of your own after FieldLink's two: yes or no, a number, a line of text or a choice of answers. Every question can be required or optional. After a Yes or a No, it can ask for a few more words and tell the office right away. Answers stay with the punch in the words that were asked, and nobody can change them.
Button layout now switches parts of FieldLink on and off
Switching a button off on Button layout used to only hide it. Now it switches that part of FieldLink off, for one person or for everyone in a role, and the employee card shows the same. Changes reach the phone within a second.

Company settings, in groups
Company settings is no longer one long page. FieldLink is now split into groups down the side, with one open at a time. The business phone, the time zone, the unlisted-job switch and whether drive time counts toward overtime each have their own place.
Turn the phone sideways to read a drawing
Open a drawing from the File Vault and turn the phone on its side: the sheet turns with it and uses the whole width. Everywhere else, the vault's own lists included, the phone stays upright.
A trade calculator on the crew's bar
Work out feet, inches and sixteenths the way a tape reads them, with every sixteenth on the screen. Twelve feet times eight feet comes back as 96 square feet, a slab comes out in yards of concrete, and it works with no signal.

Tool Checkout, Rental Equipment and File Vault on the phone
The phone's bottom bar now has a second row. Tool Checkout is for the tools you sign out to yourself, Rental Equipment for the machines on a job, and File Vault for the drawings, permits and data sheets on any job the office has given you, whether you are clocked in or not. The buttons are the same size as before.
Add a QuickBooks employee who has no email address
QuickBooks employees with no email address now have an Add to FieldLink button. Their name is filled in, you type their email, and their approved hours go to that QuickBooks employee from then on.

Keep track of the equipment you rent
Add each rented machine with the rental company, your PO and their asset number, put it on a job, and move it or call it off in two taps. After a week on the same job, FieldLink asks the job's crew lead and the office whether the crew still needs it. Rental rates stay off every crew screen, and hand tools stay under Tools.

Clear a notification you have dealt with
Close a notification, or swipe it away on a phone, and you have six seconds to undo it. Clear all empties the whole list. The red number on the FieldLink icon shows what is still unread and changes only while the app is open.
A Dashboard you can read at a glance
The Dashboard now shows hours on the clock this pay week, who is about to go into overtime, requests and receipts waiting on the office, machines out on rent and jobs over budget. Every number opens the page behind it.
Unsent punches are safer on the device
A punch taken with no signal waits on the phone or office computer until it can be sent. Signing out no longer clears one by mistake, and deleting an account clears any that can never be sent, photo and location included.

Website visitors can choose not to be counted
A new page, What this site counts, turns page counting off and back on, and a browser that sends Global Privacy Control is never counted. The site no longer loads its fonts and its drawing engine from Google on every visit.
Your QuickBooks crew and your FieldLink crew, side by side
With QuickBooks Online connected, the Employees page shows both lists: who is only in QuickBooks, who is only in FieldLink and who is matched. Invite people, match the same person in both, or mark someone as not on payroll, such as a subcontractor or an owner. FieldLink only reads from QuickBooks and never writes employee details back.

Sign in with the code from your invite email
Invitations and password resets now carry a six-digit code and a link. If the link will not open on someone's phone, they tap I have a code on the sign-in screen and type it in.
A receipt can be a photo, a saved picture or a PDF
Scan receipt now asks where the receipt is: take a photo, pick a picture already on the phone or choose a saved file. A PDF is read for the store, date and total the same way as a photo, and it opens as a PDF afterward.
Daily log photos can come from the phone's camera roll
Daily logs now have two photo buttons, Camera and From phone, so a picture taken earlier in the day goes on the log as easily as one taken on the spot.
Every person's phone, on record
The first phone someone signs in on is paired to their account, and one phone cannot belong to two people. On the Employees page under Phones, see who is on which phone, approve a new one or clear one. Since September 22, a punch on someone else's phone goes through and the office is told (see above).
Approve a daily log before it goes to the general contractor
The office now has Approve daily log, with Save changes beside it for a correction, and each log shows whether it was approved and by whom. Changing the words afterward takes the approval off. The day's report for the general contractor marks each log approved or not and says how many are waiting, but never stops you signing it.
Clean up each service call note with AI, or clear it
All four notes on a service call (what was found, what was done, materials used and what still needs doing) now have their own Clean up with AI button, so one can be tidied without rewriting the rest. Materials come back one per line with quantities and sizes kept exactly, and follow-up work comes back numbered with anything unsafe first. Clear empties a note, but asks first.

A way back from the big map, and smoother section changes
The big map now has a Back to dashboard button when you open it from the Dashboard. On phones, sections slide in instead of flickering, and the button you tap grows slightly. A phone set to reduce motion skips both.

An employee asks before their account is deleted, and you answer
Employees now get Request account deletion in Account settings instead of deleting their account outright. Nothing is deleted while it waits, and they can take the request back. An owner or admin approves it, or declines it with a reason, on the Employees page under Leaving. Approving removes their sign-in but keeps their punches, logs, receipts and photos. Owners and customers still delete their own accounts.
Photos first or writing first, and you can say it out loud
Take the daily log's photos or write it up in whichever order you like. A photo taken early waits on the phone and goes up when you press Submit. The write-up box now opens a full screen with a microphone button, and what you say is added to what you wrote, never written over it. Crew size and hours on site are gone from the form, because the clock already knows the hours.
Clock out for lunch, and the minutes count themselves
Crews tap Clock out for lunch when they stop and Clock in from lunch when they start again, and FieldLink counts the minutes. The crew stays clocked in at the same job, so there is no gap in the day, and the lunch comes off the day's hours for timesheets, job costs and payroll. A forgotten lunch ends at clock-out, and the clock-out screen no longer asks about lunch.
Away from the job? Say why, and clock in anyway
Outside a job's geofence, FieldLink says how far out someone is and offers Refresh GPS for a fresh fix, or Clock in anyway with a written reason. The punch is flagged on Timesheets with the reason and the distance, and you are told once. Nobody can change the reason afterward. The same question works at clock-out, when switching jobs and for a crew lead, and a job with no geofence asks nothing.
See where your crew is while they are on the clock
Turn on Live crew positions in Company settings, and the office portal shows each person moving on the map, with their job, whether they are inside its geofence and when they were last seen. Every person agrees first, and it runs only while they are clocked in with the app open. Saying no never stops anyone from clocking in. The pin goes at clock-out, the day's trail is deleted overnight and turning the switch off deletes everything. Only owners, admins and anyone with the Live map permission can see it.
A blocked camera never keeps anyone off the clock
If a phone's camera is blocked or missing, the person clocks in without a photo and is told the office knows. The punch reads "No photo - camera blocked on this phone", and owners, admins and the office get one email a day per person with the steps to turn the camera back on. You can turn that email off in Company settings.
Say how you paid, and get paid back
Scanning a receipt asks how it was paid for: company card, company account or your own card. If you used your own card, it asks whether you need to be paid back. Owners, admins and anyone with the Purchasing permission see the request under Reimbursements, with a total per person. The office can approve it or mark it paid, one or many at a time. You are told when it is approved or paid, or why it was declined.
Ask a coworker for a tool instead of taking it
A tool belongs to the person who picked it up, not to a job. Scan one on a coworker's name and FieldLink offers one button to ask them for it. The holder taps Approve, Decline or Not now, and it moves to you only if they approve. The office can still move anything, and a request is dropped if the tool is handed on, reported lost or one person or the other leaves.

New accounts start by choosing a password
Opening an invite now goes straight to Set your password, and the account can do nothing until a password is chosen. The same goes for a customer opening their first service request invite.
Log today starts on the job you are on
Tap Log today and the job you are clocked in to comes first, so the crew can file the daily log before leaving the site. A different job is one tap away. The tab is now called Daily Log.

- Sign-in
No robot-check box on the phone
The phone app no longer shows a robot-check box at sign-in, because the check runs out of sight. If Cloudflare needs a check mark, a small card asks for one. With no signal, the button reads Try again. The office portal keeps the box.
Clock in with no signal
With no signal, a punch is saved on the phone and sent when the signal comes back, or right away with Send now. FieldLink keeps the time and GPS from the moment of the punch, so the geofence is judged where they stood, and a punch never lands twice. Clock-outs and job switches work the same way, and Timesheets flags punches that came in late or from a phone whose clock looked wrong.
One crew lead clocks in the whole crew
Give someone crew lead access and they can clock in the people working with them, such as a helper with no smartphone. The lead's GPS goes on every punch and no photo is asked of the crew. Every person confirms it on their own phone, and "That's wrong" goes to the office as a punch fix. A lead never answers anyone else's clock-out questions.
Cost codes, and switching jobs without clocking out
Paste in the cost codes you already use. Crews pick one with the job at clock-in, and the last code they used on that job is filled in. Switch job ends one punch and starts the next at the same minute, with no gap and nothing counted twice. Timesheets and the payroll file show hours by job and by cost code, and cost codes stay off until you turn them on.
Set your company's automatic emails
In Company settings, turn each automatic email on or off and choose when it goes out: visit reminders to customers, last week's hours for payroll, daily log reminders and the list of missing logs. You choose which emails employees start with. The schedule runs in your time zone, and each person can still change their own in Account settings.
See what a job is really costing you
Job Costing adds up the hours at each person's pay rate plus your labor burden, and the receipts filed to the job, and sets them against what you bid. Put a budget on a job and the Dashboard warns you at 90%. The office sees the totals, and nobody ever sees a coworker's rate.
Overtime the way you count it
Choose overtime after 40 hours a week, or California style: after 8 hours a day, with double time after 12. Timesheets and the payroll file follow it, and the office hears "Jose reaches overtime today at about 2:30 PM" before it happens.
Sign your hours each week
At the end of the pay week, everyone sees their hours day by day and taps Agree or says what is wrong, which goes to the office as a punch fix. Timesheets shows who signed, and any change afterward asks them to sign again.
Every change to someone's time, on the record
Every punch keeps its history: clock-in, clock-out, closed by FieldLink and every office correction, with who made it and why. The person is notified when their time changes, so nobody finds out on payday.
A geofence for each job site, or none
Every job site has a geofence, or none at all for the shop, the yard and drive time. A punch outside the geofence carries a written reason, is flagged for you, and the office hears about it.
Two questions at clock-out
Before leaving, everyone answers two questions: were you hurt today, and is your time right. A "hurt" answer tells you and whoever handles safety right away and starts an incident report, and "my time is wrong" comes to you as a punch fix.
Request a time change
People fix their own time, with office approval. Someone who forgot to clock out sends the time they really left, with a note, and you approve it, change it or decline it with a reason. Every decision is stamped with who made it and why.
Forgotten clock-outs close themselves
By default, after 10 hours on the clock FieldLink asks the person if they are still working, after 12 it tells the office, and after 16 it closes the punch at the last time they used FieldLink and flags it for review. You can change the hours in Company settings.
Daily reports for the general contractor
Every job gets one report a day for the general contractor, filled in for you: every log with its photos, who worked and their hours from the time clock, the equipment on site and the weather. The office or the job's crew lead signs it and emails the PDF to the GC.
Daily log reminders
Anyone who worked a job that needs a daily log gets an afternoon email if theirs is not in yet. At the end of the day, the office gets a list of who worked where without filing one.
Customer signatures and PDF service reports
When the work is done, the customer signs on the technician's phone. FieldLink turns the call into a PDF report with your logo, the photos, the work done and the signature, and emails it to them automatically or with one tap.
Receipt rules and checks
Set a limit per receipt and per person each month, require a job on every receipt, and choose categories you do not accept or want to check one by one. Receipts that break a rule, have no photo or look like a duplicate reach you flagged with the reason, and the crew sees why before sending.
Faster receipt review
Approve every receipt that passed its checks in one go, and see each person's spending this month against your limit. When a technician scans a receipt from a store they have used before, the category and job fill in the way they filed it last time.
Scan tools with your phone
Print QR labels for your tools on standard address label sheets or a label printer. Scan a label to check a tool out or in, hand it to a coworker, or report it damaged or lost.
Count tools and get service reminders
Count what one person has, or what is in the shop, by scanning each label, and see right away what is missing and who had it last. Set a service or inspection date on any tool, and the office is reminded a week before it is due.
A live map of who's working
Your Dashboard has a map of your job sites with a pin for everyone on the clock, placed where they clocked in, a red mark for anyone who clocked in outside the geofence, and each job's hours so far today. Only the office can see it, and it shows nothing about anyone off the clock.
Photo check at clock-in
The crew takes a quick photo of themselves to clock in, so you know it was really them. You see each photo next to the punch on Timesheets and the Dashboard. Turn it off, or ask for a photo at clock-out, in Company settings.
Requests and service calls on one page
Customer requests and service calls now share one Service button. Accept a request to turn it into a service call, or decline it with a reason, and each call shows the request it came from.
Add every contact at a customer
Add each contact at a customer with their job title, and invite them to send you service requests. Every customer has its own page showing who has access, and every contact can see all of that customer's requests.

Photos are made smaller before they upload, so they send faster on a weak signal and use less data. Location and camera details are removed from each photo.

Delete your account from the app
Owners and customers can end their own account from Account settings. Employees now ask an owner or admin first (see September 20). An employee's hours and photos stay with the company. A company's only owner must first hand the company to someone else or close it, which takes 30 days.
Timesheets follow your pay week
Timesheets, the time clock and the payroll email all use your company's pay week, and the week you are looking at stays selected when you refresh the page.

Inactive employees are locked out at once
Anyone you mark inactive is locked out right away and sees a message saying why. Only the owner can hand ownership of the company to someone else.

Connect QuickBooks Online once and FieldLink keeps it up to date: approved hours and receipts, with their photos, are sent every 15 minutes, and your QuickBooks employees and customers come into FieldLink. Invites, password resets, reminders and notifications now share one clean design that is easy to read on a phone. Choose which notifications you get by email in Account settings.
See which invites bounced
The Employees page shows whether each invite and password reset was delivered or bounced, so a mistyped email address can be fixed the same day.
Remove employees who have left
Delete inactive employees to keep your list clean. Their past hours stay in earlier pay periods, and FieldLink support can restore anyone deleted by mistake.
Choose what each person sees
Turn off parts of the app for one person, so someone who only clocks in sees a simpler app. FieldLink is switched off on the server, not just hidden.
Service requests from your own page
Your customers sign in on your company's FieldLink page to send service requests with photos and follow each one until it is done. Customers can reply by email, and the reply is added to the request.
